Dr. Asteris Apostolidis works for Air France-KLM in the areas of Technology Innovation Management, Strategy and Portfolio Development, as a member of the Group Strategy Technology Office. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence in Aeronautical Systems, Sustainability in Air Transport, Innovative Aeronautical Architectures, Aviation MRO and Strategy Development & Execution. He is a member of Technical Advisory Boards of various EU and National research projects in the fields of Future Aircraft Architectures and Sustainable Transformation. He co-chairs the Data Management & Validation group of the SAE G-34 / EUROCAE WG-114 Joint International Committee for the certification of Artificial Intelligence-based Technologies in Aviation. He has worked as a lead technical consultant for major European aerospace manufacturers, including Airbus, Safran, Rolls-Royce and Liebherr Aerospace. He is an active researcher, student advisor and guest lecturer in various academic programmes. He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University (UK).
